Service Award
Award winners have a minimum of 1-year active, associate, or life membership, or any combination thereof.
Winners have met at least two of the following qualifications during the year for which they were recognized:
- Performed a commendable job as a Gamma Chapter Board Officer, Committee Chair and/or Committee Member
- Performed a commendable job conducting 2 Gamma Chapter programs or activities
- Introduced new ideas/programs, which have had a positive impact/influences on the Gamma Chapter
All award winners upholds and displays high professional standards and leadership skills.

Helen Green
Memorial Citation
Award winners have a minimum of 5 years active, associate, or life membership, or any combination thereof.
Winners have met at least three of the following qualifications:
- Actively served on a Gamma Chapter Committee, minimum 3 year
- Chaired a Gamma Chapter Committee, minimum 2 year
- Exceeds expectations as a Gamma Chapter Officer minimum of 1 year
- Introduced new ideas/programs, which have had a positive impact/influence on the Gamma Chapter
Winners of the Helen Green Memorial Citation Award upholds and displays high professional standards and leadership skills and are previous recipients of at least two Gamma Chapter Service Awards.

Mary K. Petersen Memorial Merit Award
This is Gamma Chapter’s highest award and is a once in a lifetime honor.
Award winners have a minimum of 8 years active, associate, or life membership, or any combination thereof.
Winners have met at least five of the following qualifications:
- Actively served on a Gamma Chapter Committee, minimum 5 year
- Chaired a Gamma Chapter Committee, minimum 3 years
- National Officer minimum of 1 year
- Exceeds expectations as a Gamma Chapter Officer minimum of 2 years
- Introduced new ideas/programs which have had a positive impact/influences on the Gamma Chapter
- Published articles and/or have given 3 or more presentations on the recreation and leisure services profession
Winners of this award upholds and displays high professional standards and leadership skills and is a previous recipient of the Helen Green Memorial Citation Award.
