Women in Leisure Services is a national organization for professional women involved in the delivery of leisure and community services in private, commercial and municipal settings. A network of chapters serves administrators, supervisors, educators, therapists and armed forces professionals in defined geographic areas throughout the country.

The organization was founded in 1935 as Chi Kappa Rho by Helen I. Pontius, a recreation professional in Los Angeles, California. The original name was derived from three Greek letters XKP symbolizing; CHARACTER, KNOWLEDGE and RECREATION.

Gamma Chapter includes Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties, and the eastern portion of Los Angeles County in Southern California.
